'Mother's Cake', founded in 2008, stand out in the genre of progressive and psychedelic rock due to their imposing live performance. Live and on record, fans are blown away by their memorable mix of funky and spacy sounds. Due to their debut album 'Creation's Finest' released by GAB Music on October 26, 2012 the band received the Austrian Newcomer Award in 2013 as well as numerous enthusiastic reviews.
In 2014, Mother's Cake played 94 concerts all over Europe and Australia, while over 230,000 people visited their YouTube channel. Especially their headliner tour across Australia, on which a journalist commented, 'Mother's Cake sounds like Mars Volta and Chili Peppers having a Baby', was extremely successful. In addition to that, the band excelled as the support act of international stars like Anathema, Iggy & The Stooges, Deftones, Bosnian Rainbows and Living Colour.
